Upcoming 2013 Shred Days

Upcoming 2013 Shred Days

Identity theft is no laughing matter. It is the season to get those papers shredded. There are plenty of places for you to get your papers shredded but most of the time you will need to pay. Below I have found several FREE shred events in and around the Nashville area. There are also some that have a small fee. There are even events in other areas too! Check back as I will be updating the information as I get more dates and times. Please share with everyone you know. If you know of any places offering free shred days please leave the information in the comments below. (Scroll all the way down and make note of the dates. This list is in order of who is providing the service and not dates.)

From Shred On The Run:

These community events are limited to private individuals with no more than 8 boxes or bags. The free service is not intended for commercial purposes. Some items people may want to consider shredding include: credit card statements, old checks, tax returns and anything a thief can use to steal your identity. You do not need to remove paperclips or staples.

      • Did you find anything for this Fall in the 37214 area? Or actually, anywhere in Nashville? Everything seemed to be in the Spring, except for one that was last month.

        • Actually no. The ones that Shred on the run does this fall happened in Columbia and Coolsprings today. The next one they have for this fall is October 26th At the Dickson County Fairgrounds from10-2. The other free shred day here happened today at Richards & Richards. If I hear of another one before the winter hits I will post here. Most of them don’t advertise for some reason. I do believe you can still take your papers up to Franklin. It’s a drive, but if you have a lot of paper may be worth it. Otherwise places like Staples, the UPS store and Office Depot offer shredding for about $1.00 per pound.
