Upcoming 2014 Free Shred Days

Upcoming 2014 Free Shred Days

Identity theft is no laughing matter. It is the season to get those papers shredded. There are plenty of places for you to get your papers shredded but most of the time you will need to pay. Below I have found several FREE shred events in and around the Nashville area. There are also some that have a small fee. There are even events in other areas too! Check back as I will be updating the information as I get more dates and times. Please share with everyone you know. If you know of any places offering free shred days please leave the information in the comments below.  (Scroll all the way down and make note of the dates. This list is in order of who is providing the service and not dates.)

From Shred On The Run:

These community events are limited to private individuals with no more than 8 boxes or bags. The free service is not intended for commercial purposes. Some items people may want to consider shredding include: credit card statements, old checks, tax returns and anything a thief can use to steal your identity. You do not need to remove paperclips or staples.

  1. Hello! I called the place in Franklin that does the free shredding and it’s only on Tuesdays from 8:30 – 3pm. Thought you might like to know to update your info.

  2. I checked the American Legion Post 5 to verify their shred date. It was actually October 18th and not October 30th. I thought that 30th date was odd since it was a Thursday.
