As you all know I love making list. They really keep me organized and keeps my brain from getting overloaded. Well last month I was given an opportunity to try a monthly membership with ListPlanIt. I have used many of ListPlanIt’s products before. I use their planning ePlanner for business and home. I also have their business ePlanner.
What I like about the monthly membership:
What I really like about the monthly membership is the ability to print off one list at a time to use. With the ePlanners you have a whole package of lists, but you have to tell your printer which part of it you want to print or if you want to print the whole thing. With the monthly membership you fill in and print just what you need. No muss, no fuss. You can also print off one particular list and fill it in later or download the list to your computer to fill in later and print.
What I like about the ePlanners:
What I like about the ePlanners is the ability to have all of my lists for a specific category. Like I use the business eplanner and it has every list you can imagine for planning different elements of your business. If you need a bulk pack of related lists then the eplanners are the way to go. It saves you searching time. I also like that you can print out the whole thing and it contains helpful articles too. I started using a clipboard again because of the great article included in the planning ePlanner.
Below I show you how easy it is to log in and get to your list with a monthly membership.
All in all you can’t go wrong with ListPlanIt. They really do have a list for everything and they are always adding more every month. Soon they will even have a mobile membership so that you can take your list on the go with you. I’m really excited for this feature.
While you are on ListPlanIt.com be sure to check out their newest ebook called 100 Days of a New Year. This ebook features guidance and inspiration daily to help you navigate through the first part of this new year. It also includes 75 lists and worksheets to help you organize every area of your life. Until next time…
Full disclosure: I am a ListPlanIt.com affiliate. This means that if you decide to buy one of their products I make a small commission on the sale. I was provided a free monthly membership for a year to give my honest review. I have given my honest review above and in no way swayed by the free membership. I also have purchased several products with them in the past and will continue to do so because I love what they offer and have always received great customer service.
Fans of the Kindle will love Amazon’s newest offering the Kindle Paperwhite. This newest edition to the Kindle family boasts a higher resolution, higher contrast and the best feature of all a built-in light. You can’t go wrong with the built in wifi to access your library in the cloud too. I pre-ordered mine when it first came out a couple of months ago and love it.
There are a lot of great features built-in to this newest version of Kindle.
Size: 6.7” x 4.6” x 0.36” Fits in the palm of your hand.
Telling you how long you have to go to finish a chapter. (A great feature to find out your reading speed.)
I like being able to read at night without disturbing anyone.
I like that the built-in light illuminates inward and doesn’t shine in my eyes like other e-readers.
I love how it feels in hand. It is so light that I prefer to read with it without the cover. It just feels so natural holding in hand. There is enough space at the bottom to really grip it.
I love the fact that I can hold it with one hand. Again it is so light.
Built in wifi for accessing your library in the cloud and finding and buying other books.
What I Don’t Like About The Kindle Paperwhite
There is not much I don’t like about the Kindle Paperwhite, but for the sake of argument I listed a few things that I could do without. This is purely my preferences. It may be different for you.
I don’t really like how the screen feels. It’s kind of gritty. I guess I am use to the smooth screen of the iPad and Nook.
I kind of miss using side buttons to advance the pages. This is total preference though and doesn’t detract from the product.
I have had my Kindle Paperwhite for over a month and a half. I have not had any issues with it durability. I keep it in my case that I used for my older Kindle.
So far I have only had to hook it up twice to charge the battery since I bought it. Definitely not the long month of standby that I had with my other Kindle. I did have good battery life while standing in line that day for 8 hours. It didn’t run down very much at all so I can’t complain. The screen comes on fast from standby which I like. There is no lag time in start-up. So you can quickly get back to reading.
Who This Product is Suitable For
This product is for anyone who loves reading books on the go and wants a lightweight way to carry their library. This would make a great gift for anyone who has never owned a Kindle. This is for the purest who doesn’t want a bunch of bells and whistles. If you already have a tablet you can truly just use this for reading your books. No other distractions.
This is the best of the Kindle’s in my opinion for pure reading. Sometimes you just don’t want all of the other stuff and just want the reading. I choose the Paperwhite over the Nook with the backlight because I really liked that the Kindle Paperwhite’s light was shining inward and not out into my face like the Nook.
There are two versions. Both Kindles have wifi built in. I got the one for $119 that includes the special offers. That is a great price and the ads are only showing up when I have the Kindle in standby. Also the special offers show me other books of interest so a great compromise if you are on a budget. The other Kindle is the Paperwhite 3G and has the ability to tap into the 3G network when you are not near wifi. This is totally up to you which one you pick. I figured you only need wifi to access any books in the cloud or to find other books to download. I usually just make sure the books I want to read while out are already downloaded to my device.
If you would like to get your hands on one I would head over to Amazon right now and put in my order. The expected ship date on the Kindle Paperwhite is December 21, 2012. Just in time for Christmas! Order one for the book lover in your life and for yourself as well. When I pre-ordered mine it was shipped before the expected ship date. So I would get my order in now. I see this being a hot item on everyone’s wish list.
If you do decide to purchase please be aware that you will have to buy a Kindle Power Adapter to charge it. It comes with a charging cord but not the adapter. I just used my iPad power adapter because the cord is USB and fits into it. But if you don’t have an extra one like me I would just purchase the power adapter at the same time.
I hope this review will help you make a decision about if the new Kindle Paperwhite is for you. If you already have one let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
Below is a video of me unboxing the Kindle Paperwhite and setting it up for the first time. Please excuse my nail polish. I was just so excited I didn’t have time to do them lol 😀 .

I have an iPhone so the app was pretty straight forward to download. There is no iPad version as of yet so you will have to look in the iPhone section. Don’t worry if you don’t have an iPhone because this app is available for Android and Windows Phone too!
Now back to the app. After I downloaded the app I started it up and was met with a welcome screen. From there I was asked to login with Facebook or signup. I didn’t want to login with my Facebook account so I just signed up with my email address right there and hit the join button.
After you do that you get their terms and end user license. Just accept and you will be presented with the next screen.
The next screen asked for my address but it did something pretty neat. It asked if I would like for it to find me via GPS so that I wouldn’t have to enter the information in. So I said what the heck and let it find me. It took only a few seconds and it had me pinpointed to my exact address. Amazing! Some of those GPS locators just locate you to the street but not your actual address.
After that information was saved then I was taken to a welcome screen where it gives you a quick tutorial of how the app works. Then you are off to the races.
I just grabbed a piece of junk mail that I had received and took a photo of it and that was it. The nice thing about this app is it didn’t save the photo to my phone. It stores the photo on their server.
After you take the photo you just wait. You can go to the status center right in the app to see the status of your request. Whether it is pending or complete or whatever. I will let you know if I start to see any decrease in junk mail.
If you want to decrease the amount of junk mail in your mailbox then go ahead and download the Paper Karma app. You have nothing to lose and its FREE. The app is available for iPhone, Android and Windows phone users so you have no excuses why you can’t just try it out.
Update: I received a email after about 2 hours that said they were successful in contacting the two places that I had sent them. Now that is fast! I have high hopes for this one.
Latest Update 3/18/13: It has been some months since I first started using Paper Karma and I must say that I have not received much junk mail at all. I certainly have not received any mail from those companies that I set up at first. I now get only the mail that I have asked for. You can’t go wrong with this app. I would grab it now if you want to cut down your junk mail. I still get email status updates from Paper Karma letting me know if any other companies have been trying to contact me. I love this app!
