The other day I was watching the cartoon Olivia with my 2 year old. It was the episode where she attracted a turkey. Anyway, at the end when she was being tucked into bed she started singing about how there was still so much to do. She then talked about tomorrow chasing the day away in her head. She talked about what she would do tomorrow and what the new day would bring. I was struck at that moment about how great faith we have as children.

When we are children we think and dream the biggest that we can. We think we can do anything and that the world is at our disposal. That got me to thinking that as adults we lose that child like faith. Why is that? I guess it’s because the realities of the real world set in and we get beaten down with all of the things that we must do and pay as adults.

Get back to your child like faith!

Because of this that little light that is inside of us fades and for some disappears altogether. But it doesn’t have to be that way. I challenge you to discover that inner child again. To dream that great big impossible dream again. Don’t let that light go out on the inside of you. We are made for so much bigger.

Everyday we should do something to move us closer to that dream that we had as a child. Never let it fade. Find someone that you trust to share it with. If you don’t have anyone that you can confide in then journal it and share it with God. You will be amazed at what you have to say and what dreams you have locked inside when you write it out in a journal.
